Brussels Branch

Joining

A warm welcome to future friends of the Brussels Branch of the Royal British Legion.

Our branch meets regularly in and around the Brussels area and has been meeting since 1922. Join us to carry on this tradition of help and support to those who have served and their families. Our branch is made up of British, Belgian, French, German and other nationalities. We would love to meet anybody who would like to join us. Our friendly committee team will be delighted to answer any questions you may have about membership, contact us over phone or email.

There’s never been a better time to join.

Join us today and you can get involved in our Remembrance ceremonies, social events, fundraising and welfare work. As a member of the Brussels Branch, you’ll hear the latest news, events and stories. You will also receive a regular branch newsletter plus a copy of Legion, the official RBL magazine, six times a year.

Who can apply?

Membership of the Brussels branch costs only €30 a year and is open to everyone. You don’t need to have a military background.

Membership is free if you are aged between 12 and 17.

As a member you can take an active role in all our branch activities and there are opportunities to serve on the Branch Committee, write for our website or train as a welfare case worker, looking after the needs of serving and ex-serving personnel and their families.

How can I apply?

If you have a Belgian bank account, please fill in the Membership Application Form. Once completed, saved and signed, please return the form to our Membership Secretary via email to rhoda@argrant.net.

Alternatively, you can send the form via post to:

Mrs Rhoda D Grant-McArthur
Membership Secretary, RBL Brussels Branch
Ave du Gris Moulin 46
1310 La Hulpe

Please do not enclose your membership fee. This is payable once your application has been processed and you join our Branch, or shortly after (max. two weeks). We will provide the details once we have received your application form.

If you hold a UK bank account and you pay tax in the UK, it may be advantageous for you and for the RBL to join online. In that case click on this link which will take you to the Royal British Legion membership page.

Please note that becoming a member does not entitle you to become a Legion beneficiary. Beneficiaries are those who have served in the British Forces for a minimum of seven days, and their families.
