It is with deep sadness and regret that we have to record the death of one of our best loved and respected members Cecil Knight.

Cecil was born in Bolton Lancashire in 1926 and during WW2 served in the Royal Navy for some time on the treacherous Arctic runs.

Cecil never forgot his Lancashire background or his accent. One of his favourite phrases was "Eee Champion" He had a tremendous sense of humour.

Cecil was a true gentleman and was loved by all those who knew him. He died  on 27 September 2017 and a packed church at Kimbolton took part in his thanksgiving service on 17th October.

He will be sorely missed. Rest in Peace Cecil. We will remember you .
