The RBL Strategy to 2035
Please click the link to view the full document Rbl Our Strategy To 2035 (1)
The new RBL strategy to year 2035, focuses on the changing needs of the whole Armed Forces community; serving personnel, veterans, families, and the bereaved. As our Armed Forces face uncertainty on how it might be deployed over the next decade, the RBL must remain the constant that they can turn to, whatever the need, whenever it’s needed. And we remain committed to continue our work to ensure the Armed Forces Covenant, the commitment between the nation and those who undertake military service and their families, is upheld and implemented by wider society

Introducing the Royal British Legion National Remembrance Gardens
The nation’s year-round place to remember
From Mark Atkinson, Director General RBL.
I’m pleased to share the exciting news that from September the National Memorial Arboretum will become known as the Royal British Legion National Remembrance Gardens.
In February, I shared that we want it to be at the heart of Our Strategy to 2035, helping to celebrate our story, evolve Remembrance and widen participation.
We brought the charities together on 31st March, which allows us to strengthen our ability to invest in its long-term future as the nation’s year-round place to remember. We are building on 25 years of dedication from colleagues, volunteers and communities to put the site at the centre of our Remembrance work.
The name change is inspired by our vision to bring society together to recognise, remember, and support the Armed Forces community, and firmly places Remembrance at its heart. RBL National Remembrance Gardens describes a place that invites people in, not just to reflect, but to take an active part in Remembrance. We will evolve how stories of service and sacrifice are told – through landscape, learning, events and partnerships – ensuring the RBL National Remembrance Gardens remain meaningful for generations to come.
