Mr. Sebastian Bassett-James

President

Sebastian Bassett-James stepped down as Chairman in November 2021, Sebastian was appointed to the role of President by the Committee. In this role he is focused on looking 'upward and out', seeking to promote the branch to a wider audience and champion our cause.

Sebastian served as Chairman since December 2018, before this he served for 2 years as Secretary to the Branch.

Sebastian was first motivated to join the Legion to be able to maintain links with the Armed Forces community and socialise with those of the same mindset. He also wanted to be able to bring his skills and experience to the branch to better support the veteran and wider Armed Forces community. He continues to see the work of the Royal British Legion as an integral part of national life protecting and supporting those who have served our country.
