Mr. Stuart Scott-Whitmore

Chairman

Stuart Scott-Whitmore (Scotty) joined the branch in 2019 and was elected unopposed to the role of Chairman at the AGM 2022. Prior to this he had been Vice Chairman.

A Veteran; leaving the Royal Engineers after 24 years in May 2022, as Sergeant Major to a Headquarters and Support Squadron. Following transition out of the Army he is now a Senior Project Manager currently working in Defence Nuclear.

Scotty has a long affiliation with the Armed Forces as a career soldier and is also from a military family, he has seen first-hand the importance of the support needed and provided by the Royal British Legion. He is passionate in growing support and ensuring opportunity for the community. 

In his spare time, Scotty is a keen mountaineer and enjoys running, skiing, swimming, and travelling. He is also a volunteer Reading Tutor supporting children within disadvantaged communities.
