Future of the Lydney Branch RBL

Several of our committee members are elderly and suffer from ill health but their commitment and dedication to support the work of the Legion is outstanding. There was a particularly poor turn out again the Branch AGM in November 2019 whereby only four non-committee branch members attended and therefore we still have several vacant positions on the committee.   If the Branch is to survive then we need more support from its members..  Membership of the RBL is open to anyone not just service or ex-service personnel.  Anyone interested in joining the RBL or becoming a committee member to help save the Branch then please contact the Chairman or Vice Chairman.

At the moment the branch no longer has a Secretary.

Booking of Hill Street (Formally RBL Club Building)

The Lydney Branch of Royal British Legion (RBL) no longer has its own dedicated club building.  The RBL used to operate from 3 Hill Street but this building is now a Public House and therefore open to the general public.  The RBL still has a couple of offices located within these premises but it is not involved in the management or operation of this building.

Several of our RBL committee members have received calls requesting to book rooms, please do not call the RBL but call the Hill Street Management Team directly on 01594 842444.
