The Ballyclare Branch of The Royal British Legion is delighted to announce the appointment of Rev Jonny Campbell‑Smyth as our new Branch Chaplain. 

Rev Jonny was formally installed into his role on Monday 30 March 2026 by Branch Chairman Dennis Chirgwin and was presented with his Chaplain’s Stole by Branch President Violet Wallace. 

This appointment reflects a relationship built over many years, during which Rev Jonny has faithfully led the religious elements of all the Branch’s Acts of Remembrance and has welcomed the Branch to hold their Veterans’ Breakfast in the halls of St John’s Church. 

Addressing those gathered, Rev Jonny expressed his sincere thanks for the honour of the appointment and said he was very proud to take up the role, pledging his continued support to the Branch and its work of remembrance, welfare, and community service.
