The role of our Executive Board
The Director General (DG) and Executive Board (EB) lead the RBL. As a group, they are accountable for:

setting the strategic direction of the charity in conjunction with the Board of Trustees

ensuring our day-to-day organisational activities are managed effectively
-
developing and implementing the activities of the RBL so that its purpose and strategy can be achieved
-
ensuring that the RBL is guided by a common set of values and objectives
-
shaping the culture by role-modelling leadership behaviours in line with the values
-
ensuring the appropriate collaboration between directorates and between strategic and operational matters
-
supporting directors to deliver their delegated individual and collective accountabilities and the effective management of risk
The Executive Directors on the Executive Board are appointed by the Director General.
The exercise of powers delegated to the Director General and the Executive Board is governed by a Scheme of Delegation.
