The Poppy Appeal in Torrevieja

Poppy People - The 2026 Poppy Appeal
Every year the Branch actively seeks the help and assistance of more "Poppy People" to distribute and retrieve collection boxes and help with the various Poppy Appeal Donation Stand in various locations within our Branch area.
The 2026 Poppy Appeal in Spain starts with the Poppy Appeal Launch in Benidorm in October each year. However in Spain as in many other Overseas Countries we raise money for the Poppy Appeal throughout the year.
Our Branch Committee and Members play a huge part in making it a success, and the RBL is so grateful for your support. In 2024, the Poppy Appeal raised £51.4 million, in Spain the Branch raised a staggering € 14,102,02 which goes towards providing vital care and assistance to our Armed Forces community and their families - but without volunteers, this figure would have been much lower.
It is important to know that all of the Poppy Appeal Donations received in Spain, remain in Spain to support TRBL Beneficiaries.
We are asking for your help in making the 2026 Poppy Appeal its best yet!
Anyone interested in helping and assisting with the Poppy Appeal please email the Branch Poppy Appeal Organiser Ian Curruthers at [email protected]

THE WEARING OF POPPIES
There is no protocol attached to the wearing of a Poppy. The only stipulation is that it is complete with green leaf.
The rumour that Ladies must wear the Poppy on the right side is incorrect and it may be worn where the individual wishes. We ask that you just wear your Poppy with Pride which signifies Remembrance and your support for the Fallen, our Veterans and our Armed Forces Community.
