Branch Meetings

The Branch meets on the 3rd Tuesday of every month, at The Oasis, San Luis, at 5pm. 

After the branch meeting there will be a raffle and occasionally some entertainment. Guest are always welcome to come and see the Torrevieja Branch of The Royal British Legion.

Membership of TRBL can also be completed at the General Branch Meetings.

Torrevieja Branch Act of Remembrance

11/Nov/25

The Branch Armistice/Remembrance Day Parade in Torrevieja Church on 11th November 2025. As a branch we have access to the church at 1030hrs and the committee is inviting ALL members of Torrevieja Branch No 3456 to attend in good numbers. The new committee is now endeavouring to ensure this parade, and many other events not too far away in the diary are as well oiled as they should be and will be requesting membership attendance if possible in such a busy period. brush off the shoes, polish the medals and we hope to see you all there as one. Thank you in advance and on behalf of the committee.

80th Anniversary of VJ Day Celebrations - 15th August 2025

Those members who wish to parade behind the Branch standard will be encouraged by all means but are requested to be at Silverstones before the parade STARTS at 1300hrs, however we are open from 1100hrs.

There is a parade muster area 400m up the hill from Silverstones. If you are wishing to parade please can you reply so I can pass numbers to our President who be acting as Parade Marshall for the day.

From Torrevieja Branch to all those that joined us yesterday from Near & Far, the 14 New Members of our Branch and for all the Very Kind Donations for TRBL Poppy Appeal - THANK YOU.

Yesterday (15th August 25) we had one of our best events ever, the numbers attending was amazing thank you.  As a Branch we have so many to thank, starting with the Venue, Silverstones Bar & Bistro at Montebello, a fantastic location, looked after us all so well, the food was excellent, Big FM for the Live Broadcast, Torrevieja Pipes & Drums, our own Standard Bearers and the Associations that also joined us or also came with Standards to be displayed on Parade.  Our Branch Committee Members, thank you for pulling together as a Team, and making this such a special day for all those that attended.

The 14 New Branch Members we look forward to seeing you and officially welcoming you to our Branch, for now you will receive a welcome letter from the Branch President once we have your Membership Confirmation Number from London. 

You also raised € 421.23 for The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal at the event.  Thank you all.

31st July - Social Lunch - Pins Restaurant

Yesterday was a very busy day but we all squeezed in our monthly TRBL Lunch organised be our Social Rep, Helen Lovell. This month was at the Pines, Benijofar, food was lovely company even better. An excellent chance to meet members and discuss how we can include them in more organised fun. An amazing €50 was raised for Branch Funds from the raffle, bearing in mind only 13 dined, it is gratefully received. Our next event is VJ80 Day on the 15th August at Silverstones, lunch is on us!

29th June - Social Lunch - Quesada Fish & Chips

On behalf of the Chairman, John Richard Lord i would like to thank all those who organised or attended the Quesada Fish and Chip lunch on 29th June 2025.  Fabulous to see everyone enjoying themselves and meeting potential new members. The raffle raised €65 for the Branch general fund which will go a long way to supporting the branch and future events. Thanks Helen Lovell, great start.

Torrevieja Branch held it's 3rd Annual Poppy Appeal Petanca Competition hosted by Peacocks Petanca Club at Westvilles.

On the 25th May of this year the Torrevieja Branch held it's 3rd Annual Poppy Appeal Petanca Competition hosted by Peacocks Petanca Club at Westvilles. Organised by Jackie Lowton and Geoff Thomas the Branch Treasurer.

18 Members of the Branch participated. A Certificate of Appreciation was presented to Peacocks Petanca Club by the Branch Chairman John Lord and flowers to Jackie Lowton.

A very successful and enjoyable day. All monies raised on that day (entrance fees and Raffle) was donated to the Torrevieja Branch Poppy Appeal. Well done all €282 raised.
