Below is a list of dates for your diary on what's happening in the branch of The Royal British Legion.
The Poppy appeal will officially start on the 22nd October 2026 and we will be holding our Poppy appeal launch event in Southwick Square on Saturday 24th October 12:00. All are welcome.
Our local Veterans and youth organisations will be with us and there will be some entertainment. Look out for posters and social media announcements.
Remembrance day this year will be on Sunday the 8th November 2026.
- 10:35 - muster at car park behind the CoOp Southwick square.
- 10:45 - March off.
- 11:00 - 2 minutes silence at the war memorial on the Green, followed by a short remembrance service and laying of wreaths.
- On completion march back to the carpark and dismiss
Orders of service will be available to print (from QR code), read directly from on line and a limited supply of printed copies will also be available on the day. See posters in Southwick square nearer the time and the link will also be published on this site.
