Dear friends of Great Britain,
As you know, the Invictus Games is soon upon us in Düsseldorf. We at the British Consulate are in full on preparation mode for the Games, and are looking forward greatly to the week.
Having spoken to representatives of those participating at the Games, what they value most is support for the UK team. The noisier, the more red, white and blue, the better!
As a result, I would like to have a time at the Games where we fill the stadium as much as possible, with supporters of the British team.
Therefore, I would like to encourage as many friends of Great Britain as possible to turn out at the Merkur Spiel Arena on Monday 11th September between 2pm and 9pm, to cheer on the British team in track and field and wheelchair rugby. Bring friends, family and colleagues. Extra points for any UK flags, or wearing red, white and blue!
Tickets for the games are FREE, so showing your support costs nothing! We’ll try and coordinate to get as many friends of Great Britain sat near each other as possible, so hopefully it’s also an excellent opportunity for our community to network.
