The branch barbecue at Bongartzmühle, Viersen, Aug 2018

On 25 August 2018 some 36 members and guests met up at the Bongartz-watermill in Viersen. A mill, with its idyllic surrounds, has stood on the site for nearly 800 years. The Büschges family, owners of the mill, kindly allowed us to hold a barbecue there. Rudolf Büschges, a very active Branch member, gave us an interesting, short description of the history and workings of the fully restored and working mill. Following this we seated ourselves in an adjacent building to enjoy the barbecue. Rudolf was not only our host but also the grill-master. Many thanks to Kerstin and Rudolf for their hospitality. Everyone had a  pleasant and enjoyable afternoon and a goodly sum was raised towards the poppy Appeal.
