Loughbrickland RBL Laying Up Service.
On Sunday 30th August Loughbrickland RBL held a laying up service for their Standard at Aghaderg Parish Church in the village. The Standard, having originally been dedicated in the same church over ninety years ago, will now remain on display within the church in tribute to the many service personnel and their families.
The Poyntzpass RBL Branch was well represented during the laying up of the Loughbrickland Standard, alongside local dignitaries, RBL and Association members, council Aldermen and the ABC Deputy Lord Mayor Lavelle Mcilwrath.

We are delighted to have photos to mark a really special occasion for Poyntzpass Branch.
Our Branch member, John Saville, who is also a Chelsea Pensioner, was visiting NI for a family wedding and arranged to meet with us for lunch and a catch-up during his stay.
It was terrific to see John looking so well, in grand form and taking a very keen interest in the Branch and all our current activities. The occasion was made extra special with the attendance of Paddy Malone, who is another of the stalwarts who helped build the Branch as well as the premises, and maintains an active interest in all matters although no longer able to attend personally at Branch events.
John was attended by his Grandson Ted for the duration of his visit to NI, and we were delighted that Ted took a keen interest in our meeting as well as telling us all about his visits to Royal Hospital Chelsea, to visit John and take him out on trips.
