MEMBERS INFORMATION

The Minchinhampton Branch will be supporting the Parish Council with Remembrance activities this year as follows:

Friday 6th November 2026 - several members of the Branch will be visiting Minchinhampton Primary Academy to join with the staff and students for their school assembly, commencing at 9.00am

Sunday 8th November 2026 - Remembrance Sunday activities will commence with a service to be held in Holy Trinity Church, Minchinhampton (timing to be confirmed), followed by a procession from the church to the memorial cross in Minchinhampton High Street for the Act of Remembrance and two minutes silence at 11.00am. Remembrance wreaths will then be laid around the cross by local organisations.

Wednesday 11th November 2026 - Armistice Day will be commemorated with a brief Act of Remembrance at the memorial cross in Minchinhampton High Street. Branch members will gather in the Market Square at 10.45 for a short service and two minutes silence at 11.00am. After the service, the rector will lead several school pupils and members of The Legion in placing remembrance crosses on the graves of those who died in both world wars and who are buried in the churchyard.
