Potted History-Key Dates for the Local Village Branches under the Yeovil and District Branch #2555

On 7th January 2019 -The Yeovil Branch TRBL re-organised its branch outreach activities and the following parishes are now affiliated to the branch for membership and ex-services and family welfare Support:
Brympton, Chilthorne Domer, Chilton Cantelo and Ashington, East Chinnock, Ilchester, Limington, Marston Magna, Mudford, Queen Camel, Rimpton, Sparkford, Stoke Sub Hamdon, Tintinhull, Yeovil, Yeovil Without, Yeovilton.

6 Nov 1929 Exeter & Plymouth Gazette - At Yeovil Parish Church the Vicar (Rev J.E.S Harrison) has dedicated a Banner of blue and gold for the Women's Section of the British Legion.

THE DEANERY

Yeovil Deanery comprises four urban churches, surrounded by 18 small rural parishes mainly in three multi-parish Benefices. The recent deployment plan means that in future there will be 7.5 stipendiary priests across the Deanery

Benefice of 5 Crosses, are a group of five churches serving the villages of Tintinhull St. Margaret's, Chilthorne Domer St. Mary's, Yeovil Marsh All Saints, Thorne Coffin St. Andrew's as well as the new estates at Brimsmore and Lufton St Peter and St Paul to the north of Yeovil in South Somerset.
