Another Successful Year
The Worthing Poppy Appeal has once again demonstrated its remarkable fundraising success, improving on previous totals and achieving an outstanding £67,899.95 in 2025.
A huge thank you to everyone in Worthing and Findon for your continued generosity and support. Your contributions help make a real difference to the Armed Forces community.
Community Support Across Worthing
Avon Manor Dementia Care Home
Avon Manor Dementia Care Home's impressive Poppy display, created using artwork produced by pupils from Lancing College Preparatory School, provided a striking and meaningful tribute during the Appeal period.
Members of the Worthing Branch attended events at the care home on two occasions, helping to engage residents, families and visitors while raising awareness of the work of the Royal British Legion and the importance of remembrance.
St Oscar Romero High School Poppy Appeal Launch
Students and staff at St Oscar Romero High School supported the launch of the Worthing Poppy Appeal, demonstrating the continuing commitment of younger generations to remembrance and support for the Armed Forces community.
The school's involvement helped raise awareness of the Appeal and encouraged participation from pupils, families and the wider local community.
Worthing Poppy Appeal Launch at the Guildbourne Centre
The official Worthing Poppy Appeal Launch took place at the Guildbourne Centre, bringing together representatives from the Royal British Legion, local dignitaries, veterans, cadet organisations and volunteers.
The event marked the start of the local Appeal campaign and showcased the strong community support that continues to make the Worthing Poppy Appeal one of the most successful in the area.
Worthing Town Square Poppy Day
Poppy Day in Worthing Town Square was well supported by residents and visitors alike.

The event provided an opportunity for the local community to come together in support of the Poppy Appeal and the Armed Forces community.
Supporting the Appeal in Local Stores
Military vehicles and themed displays featured prominently inside Tesco West Durrington during the Appeal period, attracting significant interest from shoppers and helping to raise awareness of the campaign.
Similar displays and collections were also organised at Morrisons and ASDA Ferring, with local businesses continuing to play an important role in supporting the Worthing Poppy Appeal each year.
