Taunton Branch has consistently increased the amount raised locally for the Poppy Appeal. The appeal struggled during the Covid pandemic but following the appointment in 2022 of Martin Hughes as Poppy Appeal Organiser and the amazing efforts by him and his wife Mandy and their team of volunteers, the total has risen year on year and more than £100,000 was raised in 2025.

The poppy appeal in the Taunton area will be launched with an event in the town centre commencing at 10.30 am on Saturday 22 October 2026
