The Garden of Remembrance
𝐀 𝐟𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐛𝐮𝐭𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐑𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐞𝐤.
The 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐧'𝐬 𝐒𝐡𝐞𝐝 is proud to have been commissioned by the 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐦𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐲𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐡 𝐋𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 to design and build two memorial gardens for this year's Remembrance Week at the town war memorial.
After several months of planning, designing and making, the two gardens were officially unveiled at a dedication ceremony today.
It has been a real privilege for our members to contribute to this project and to play a small part in helping our community remember and honour those who gave their lives in service of our country.

A Garden of Remembrance is set out each year at the Town War Memorial at the beginning of the annual period of Remembrance.
After a short Service of Dedication, led by the Town Mayor and the Honorary Chaplain of the Stamford Royal British Legion, people are invited to place a cross in the Garden of Remembrance in memory of family members and other loved ones who gave their lives in war.
