Lest We Forget

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally set aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

Remembrance 2026

Armistice Day – Wednesday 11 November 2026
A Two Minute Silence will be observed at 11:00am, marking the moment the guns fell silent on the Western Front in 1918.

Remembrance Sunday – Sunday 8 November 2026
Remembrance Sunday provides an opportunity for communities across the country to come together to remember the service and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve.

Spondon Remembrance

The Royal British Legion Spondon Branch will once again be supporting the local Remembrance commemorations.

Details of the Spondon Remembrance Sunday parade, service and timings will follow shortly.

Please join us as we come together as a community to remember and honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
