Rugby No1

ANZAC Service April 26th 2026

Rugby No 1 branch was pleased to support the ANZAC service at the Cannock Chase War Cemetery and Wayne Perry our chairman proudly carried our standard along with 22 others from Staffordshire and the wider area. It was nice to catch up with riders from across the West Midlands and also Garry Edwards who was acting as parade marshal and Neil James representing the RBL.

The service led by Rev John Davies was well represented by all the armed forces, the New Zealand High Commissioner Hamish Cooper and Lt Rebecca Smeele of the Royal New Zealand Navy, Royal Australian Air Force, the Staffordshire Lord Lieutenant, the Staffordshire High Sheriff and civic dignitaries from across Staffordshire and the public.
