"When you go home, tell them of us and say,
For your tomorrow - we gave our today."

TWO MINUTES SILENCE
(We must remember them)
Two minutes silence out of one day
A fair exchange each year we pay.
In less than the time our egg to boil -
For a young man's death on foreign soil.
Two minutes silence we put aside
To honour those who bravely died.
In less than the time to toast a slice
We remember who paid the ultimate price.
Two minutes silence and we all stand still
Some may not but others will.
In less than the time to wait for a bus -
We thank the soldiers who died for us.
Two minutes silence on November eleven
Our heroes we praise from Scotland to Devon.
In less than the time these words to pen -
Then enjoy our lives - that we owe to them.
