The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

Remembrance Sunday this year will take place on 8th November.

We are pleased to announce that road closures will again be in place to ensure the safety of all involved.

The public are advised to begin gathering on Palatine Road from 10:30. Order of Service booklets will be distributed, a play will occur at 10:45 and the Service will begin at 10:55.

The very popular Fianna Phadraig Pipe Band will again provide music before and after the Service, with a lone piper playing a lament during the laying of wreaths.

Members of the public who would like to lay a wreath or cross, can contact the Branch Secretary in advance of Remembrance Sunday for this to be arranged. We will endeavour to provide wreaths or crosses on the day but this cannot be guaranteed, so please consider pre-ordering. Email: [email protected] or call 07932 994778.
