                                                WELFARE

Welcome to the Welfare Section of RBL Mollina Branch

In order to access the Welfare Services the beneficiaries must have served in the Armed Forces for a minimum of 7 days, any dependants are also afforded the Welfare services.  In Spain it is advisable that beneficiaries should be registered and have Residencia status.
Any person requiring Welfare Services should in the first instance contact one of the case workers via the Contact Centre.  A visit will be arranged and this is in the form of a fact finding mission to ascertain what assistance, if any, can be afforded.  Remember there is no exhaustive list of issues people may face so call us and check.
This service is completely confidential and no-one will have access to your information without your express permission.  With your consent we do consult other agencies, i.e. the Country Welfare Officer and other organisations such as benevolent charities etc and the Benefit Agency.
It should be remembered that all cases are means tested so you will need to have some information available including the service number of the beneficiary and details of income and expenditure.  At this time we will endeavour to ensure all benefits to which you are entitled are being paid.
At Branch Level a small immediate needs grant can be authorised.  Any further grants will need to be referred to the Country Welfare Officer and then on to Head Office in London.
Of course not all Welfare needs are financial and other services are available, for instance Bereavement Counselling - we have fully trained counsellors available - Hospital Visits, Translation services and in some instances repatriation.
Any person receiving welfare assistance will be kept up to date on what action is being taken and in the event of assistance not being available the reasons for that.
It should be remembered that the Case Workers are fully trained , voluntary and unpaid.
