To mark the official launch of this year's Poppy Appeal, here in the Isle of Thanet, the poppy appeal organiser/s and local Branches of the Royal British Legion, with thanks to our hosts, Westwood Cross Shopping Centre, brought together Youth/Cadet Groups, RBL Branches, Veterans and the public to officially launch this year's appeal!

Polly Billington MP, Mayor of Ramsgate, Mayor of Broadstairs & St Peters, Mayor of Margate, Lord-Lieutenant of Kent, Representative in Thanet, & Branch Member Clive Stevens DL

Huge thanks to the Poppy Appeal Organiser, and Branches across the area, for putting on, and coming together at Westwood Cross in launching the 2026 Poppy Appeal, huge thanks to everyone who visited our brand new promotional stall, and to those who kick started the donations to this years appeal.

It was fantastic to see so many youngsters as well, from across the youth organisations and cadet groups, including members from Army Cadets UK, Kent Army Cadet Force, Margate & Broadstairs, Sea Cadets, Sea Cadets East Kent, Margate Sea Cadets, Ramsgate and Broadstairs Sea Cadets, and Sea Scouts! Well done everyone!
