This year the Branch hosted remembrance events at the Grave of HMS Formidable and also the Polish Airmen's Memorial in Anning Road on the saturday preseeding Remembrance Sunday.
On Friday evening Kevin Taylor and his two children kindly laid out 12 poppy crosses at the head of each of our Commonwealth War Graves as well as at the Grave of Commander Cookson, VC, RN.
Sunday saw the march to church and assembly in the town square after the church service where Serving members of the armed forces, veterans, members of the RBL, civilian uniformed services and youth organisations all took part.
A short service was held at the town war memorial at 1100 on the 11th November.
The Chairman of the Lyme Regis Branch, Mr Daniel Buckley, gave his thanks to all those who have participated in the weekend activities and especially the Mayor of Lyme Regis, Councillor Phillip Evans, MBE and his team, The Reverend Canon Sarah Godfrey (Hon CBranch Chaplain), Mr Dennis Bye (Bugler), Ms Tilly Jardine, Trumpeter, Lyme Regis Town Band, Mr Alan Vian and his road closure team and to the town council estates staff for maintaining all the town memorials in great shape.
