• SILVER AWARD - BEACON BRANCH STATUS

On the 24 January 2026, Longridge Branch was presented with the Beacon Branch Status - Silver Award at the Lancashire County Conference in Lancaster.

The Royal British Legion Beacon Branch Scheme, is a point-based accreditation recognising branches that demonstrate strong administration, financial compliance and community engagement.  Showing the dedication of our Committee in ensuring the aims and aspirations of the Royal British legion are upheld to the highest standards.  

• 2024/2025 Winners - George Haffner Poppy Shield

For the second year running Longridge and surrounding area have won the George Haffner Poppy Shield which is awarded by the Lancashire County Area of the Royal British Legion to the Branch with the largest cash collection percentage increase over a three-year period.  

• 2023/2024 Winners - George Haffner Poppy Shield

The Branch has shown its fundraising skills by improving on its Poppy Appeal total raising and winning the George Haffner Poppy Shield for the Branch with the largest percentage increase in money raised.
