Horncastle and District Royal British Legion Start of the year Meet & Greet social

2026 started with a branch event aimed at increasing the awareness of the branch and the RBL by inviting non-members to an evening of table top games and the chance to meet current members of the Horncastle and District Branch.

Tea and coffee was flowing in abundance whilst people got together to have a go at the games provided. Cards, dominoes, backgammon, test your hand skills and several traditional pub games (bar skittles and hook the ring) kept people occupied. Later in the evening plenty of "finger food" was laid out for everyone to enjoy.

29 people attended the evening and was a good mix of members and non-members. The evening was a great success with several membership forms passed out but more importantly everyone had a great time.

A big thank you to The Bridge Tearoom, Barrie (our host and chef) and Gary (our social rep and the chief organiser) for making the evening so enjoyable.
