- REMEMBRANCE STONE - WAR MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
The Remembrance Stone at the War Memorial Hospital, Horncastle has had a spruce up ready for this years November Remembrance Event. The stone was removed and expertly cleaned by professional Memorial / Headstone restorers and now it is back in position, the surrounding area has had the old slabs removed and a new decorative white stone chipping put in place. The surrounding bushes have also had a bit of a trim as well! A very fitting restoration, I think you will all agree.

- NEW FOR 2026 - BRANCH MEETING FORMAT CHANGE
The format of branch meetings is changing to more of a social event following feedback on how we can do things better for our members and to encourage others that would like to become members of our branch.
The evening will start with a couple of minutes of any news items from the wider RBL and the local branch area delivered by the Branch Chairman, if required. The rest of the evening will be an evening of friendly socialising.
Some of the evenings are planned to include a guest speaker or games night etc.
Almost all of the meetings will have a raffle (donation of prizes always welcome) to raise funds for the social side of the branch. This will allow us to arrange various things, for example: subsidised events (Branch Christmas Meal, visits etc), light supper on certain evenings in support of the arranged event are just a couple of the ideas.
A few meetings will be more of a formal type as there maybe a vote needed plus certain events during the year will need to be discussed in more detail - Remembrance Day being a prime example.
Please come along and join in and help shape the future of your branch.
All events will be published here on our website, our Facebook page or email.
