The United Kingdom began a military intervention in Sierra Leone on 7 May 2000 under the codename Operation Palliser, after the end of the Civil War they continued to provide a presence training the Sierra leone Army up to 2013.

Operation Granby was the code name for the UK military operations in the Persian Gulf. This was a war waged by coalition forces from 35 nations against Iraq in response to Iraq's invasion and annexation of Kuwait.
The US codenamed Operation Desert Shield (2 August 1990 – 17 January 1991) was for operations leading to the buildup of troops and defence of Saudi Arabia and evolved into Operation Desert Storm (17 January 1991 – 28 February 1991) in its combat phase. The specific period from 24-28 February 1991 was Operation Desert Sabre (early name Operation Desert Sword), the US name for the airland offensive against the Iraqi Army in the Kuwaiti Theatre of Operations (the "100-hour war"), in itself, part of Operation Desert Storm.

Operation Telic (Op TELIC) was the codename under which all of the United Kingdom's military operations in Iraq were conducted between the start of the Invasion of Iraq on 19 March 2003 and the withdrawal of the last remaining British forces on 22 May 2011. The bulk of the mission ended on 30 April 2009 but around 150 troops, mainly from the Royal Navy, remained in Iraq until 22 May 2011 as part of the Iraqi Training and Advisory Mission. 46,000 troops were deployed at the onset of the invasion.

Commemorating the End of the Kosovo War on 20th June 1999

Today marks the anniversary of the completion of withdrawal of the Serbs from Kosovo, with KFOR well established in Kosovo following 10 June (Kumanovo Agreement signed 9 June, effective 10 Jun). The NATO presence was sanctioned by the United Nations Security Council on the strength of Resolution 1244, which authorised UN Member states and international organisations to maintain an international security presence via the KFOR in Kosovo until an agreement is finally concluded and its terms implemented.The KFOR was authorised to take all actions necessary to ensure compliance. UNSCR 1244 was passed welcoming the acceptance by the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia of the principles on a political solution to the Kosovo crisis.

The UK ceased all combat operations in Afghanistan and withdrew the last of its combat troops on the 27 October 2014.
Operation Herrick is the codename under which all British operations in the War in Afghanistan were conducted from 2002 to the end of combat operations in 2014. It consisted of the British contribution to the NATO-led International Security Assistance Force (ISAF), and support to the American-led Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). Since 2003, Operation Herrick increased in size and breadth to match ISAF's growing geographical intervention in Afghanistan.

to help rebuild and stabilise the country. British troops are now stationed in Kabul where they take the lead within the Kabul Security Force, a 7 nation organisation which provides vital force protection for UK and coalition advisors who are working with our Afghan partners to increase the capabilities and capacity across the Afghan National Defence and Security Forces. Alongside military activities, the UK has supported a wide range of projects to improve education, healthcare, economic growth and local governance, in Helmand and across the country.
The UK also provides mentors who work in a training and advisory role within the Afghan National Army Officers' Academy and Infantry Branch School among other Afghan institutions.
These have been made possible by improved security provided by international troops and the Afghan National Security Forces.
