Gillingham

The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

 The  organiser for the Gillingham Parade is Flt Lt Paul Collins.

 

Remembrance service and parade will be held on 11th November 2018, starting at the Medway Park memorial (formely Black Lion) at 09.45, with a short service then a procession along to St Mark's Church, Gillingham, all are welcome to attend. On completion of the Church Service a reception will be held at the Upper Conservative Club, 541 Canterbury Street, Gillingham, Kent ME7 5LF.

Wreaths will also be laid at the Brompton Memorial at 11.00.

A Naval Wreath Laying Ceremony will also take place at The Naval War memorial, Great Lines, Gillingham starting at 09.00
