Welcome to the website for the Dursley and Cam Branch of the Royal British Legion.

I was delighted to be appointed as the Chair of the Branch in 2025 on a pledge to move the Branch forward in line with national RBL objectives tailored to meet the requirements of our members and the local community.

The RBL pillars are Remember – Connect – Support and we aim to undertake activity in all these areas as our “business as usual”.

To do this more effectively we need to grow.  Branch membership, in line with other branches nationwide and in other Service charities, is reducing. However, we have been successful in many areas particularly in support of the main endeavour, the Poppy Appeal. I and the Committee wish to recruit new members and broaden our appeal to a wider community than, perhaps, has been the case before. All so that we can offer more to our community.

The volunteering and membership options we offer are second to none and we are lucky in having such a beautiful, historic and thriving area that we cover.
