Nicholforest 57 AFTER

This remote and beautiful place, just a short distance from the River Liddel and the Scottish Borderlands, and an area which saw much conflict in the days of the Border Reivers, sent fifteen of its young men to die in the battles of WW1. Others followed in the Second World War.  With a limited population such losses would have had a telling effect on this small community.
