                        The A F Chance Memorial

This beautiful window is one of two which commemorate the sons of Frederick William Chance KBE, and his wife Mary Seton Chance.   They lived at Morton, Carlisle.

The Memorial in St James' Parish Church, Carlisle to Captain Andrew Ferguson Chance who died on 3rd October 1915 while serving with B Bty, 85th Bde, Royal Field Artillery.  He was 32 years old.   He is interred in Le Touret Military Cemetery, Richebourg-L'avoue, grave II.H.29.
