POLISH CROSS COMMEMORATION SERVICE on the ANNIVERSARY OF THEIR DEATH.
13th OCTOBER 2015
ARRANGEMENTS

The memorial lies in the Watchwood Plantation, (Forestry Commission), on the western edge of the village of Calverton, Nottinghamshire and is accessible by car from the B6386 (Oxton Road, off the A614 Ollerton Road), Whinbush Lane (off the A614, Old Rufford Road and Gravelly Hollow. NB:There is no longer direct access to Gravelly Hollow from the A614 Ollerton Road.

Planning for the event is virtually completed but there could be some slight alterations to the information below.

: Meet at the St John Ambulance Centre, Hollingwood Lane, Calverton, Nottinghamshire (NG14 6NR), from 9.30am. Tea/coffee will be available in the "Top Club", Miners Welfare, which is situated across the road from the St. John car park.
:Following coffee, we will return to the car park, leaving at 10.30am for the short trip to the Watchwood Plantation. Minibuses will lead off first. Police and marshals will arrange traffic safety cover.
:The service will commence at 11.00am. Introduction by the Venerable Robin Turner, County President of the Nottinghamshire Royal British Legion.
Following the service, wreaths will be laid by the Consul General Mr Lukasz Lutostanki and Col. Nigel Cullen OBE, TD, DL Deputy Lieutenant of Nottinghamshire. Wreaths will then be laid by our honoured guests, representatives of the families of the Airmen and all the other organisations present.
:Following the service and on our way back to the vehicles, Professor Janusz Gebicki will unveil the specially erected "interpretation panel".
: We will then return to the St John car park and walk over the road to the "Top Club", Miners Welfare, where refreshments will be available.
:When all the guests are assembled, the Branch Secretary will introduce our Branch President to begin the formalities.
:Following formalities, refreshments will be served. There is to be a mixture of Polish and English cuisine.
:We expect the cessation of the Commemoration event to be about 3.00pm.

Artur and Danura Bildziuk (Chairman of the Polish Airman's Association, UK) will be greeted by Branch Committee Member Mrs Jane Yates.
County Vice Chair and Community Fundraisers Mr Peter and Mrs Elaine Hopkins will be greeted by Mrs Linda Helsdon.
Mark Spencer, MP for the Sherwood Constituency and his wife Claire will be greeted by the Chairman of the Calverton Parish Council Mr John Bailey and his wife Mrs Janet Bailey.
Mr Byron Wibberley and guests (Forestry Commission) will be greeted by the Branch Web Master Mr Michael Stimson.
Other Dignitaries and guests to be greeted by Members of the Calverton/ Woodborough District Branch of the Royal British Legion.
