On the 3 September 2016, the President of the Calverton and Woodborough Royal British Legion Mrs Sue Bereznyckyj along with her husband, were invited to attend a presentation at RAF Northolt to receive a Certificate of Commendation from the Polish Air Force Memorial Committee.

The certificate was presented by the Co-President of the Committee, Station Commander Group Captain D Manning RAF in appreciation for the work that the Calverton and Woodborough Branch had put into commemorating the 75th anniversary of the death of the three Polish aircrew who crashed at the Watchwood Plantation near Calverton.

The ceremony held at the Polish Cross Memorial last October was arranged by the Branch Secretary Mr Mick Lloyd. It was attended by by the family of the pilot, the Polish Ambassador, members of the RBL and Polish Air Force Memorial Committee along with members of the local Polish community and many others.
