The Royal British Legion is recognised as the national custodian of Remembrance.

Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the Peace and Freedom we enjoy today.

2023 will see the annual Remembrance Sunday Service being held at East Wittering War Memorial on Sunday 12th November.  If you wish to join the Parade please meet outside Southern Co-op, East Wittering at 10.30am ready to march to the War Memorial at 10.45am. 

The Service will be conducted by Rev. S Davies, followed by a minutes silence.

There will also be a service at the War Memorial on Armistice Day at 10.45am for anyone who wishes to attend.

The Branch President, Ron David presented a talk for Chichester Sea Cadets on the importance of Remembrance Sunday on 2nd November at 7pm, this was also attended by Branch Committee Member, Colin Finch.

The Branch President also be attended the Remembrance Service at Wellington Grange Care Home, Chichester on 10th November at 3pm.

The Branch Standard Bearer and RNA Chairman attended the Remembrance Service being held at Birdham Primary School on 10th November at 10am.
