REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY.     The Windermere and Bowness Town Council have taken over the running of the Remembrance Parade. The Royal British Legion Windermere Branch, will have a presence at the ceremony parading both the Branch Standard together with the Union Standard.  The muster is at Goodley Dale AT 1:45 p.m. on Sunday 8th November, 2026, ready to march the short distance to the War Memorial at 2.00.  A brief service (including the reading of the Roll of Honour) will be held at the War Memorial at 2.05 p.m.

After the service the Parade will march back to Goodly Dale before disbanding. The Parade will be accompanied by the Kendal Sea Cadets whilst Burneside Brass Band will be in the Memorial Garden playing hymns & the National Anthem.
