Students from local primary schools from Retford and Worksop will be installing 126 photographs of Military Veterans in the following cemetery locations, on the veterans graves and family memorials.
66 photographs of military veterans in Worksop Cemetery, Retford Road on Wednesday 29th April 10am by Holy Family Primary School.
21 photographs of military veterans in All Hallows Churchyard Ordsall, Retford, on Thursday 30th April 1:45pm by Ordsall Primary School
39 photographs of military veterans in Retford Cemetery, on Friday 8th May at the moment we have no school students to take part in installing these veterans images, would you like help?
These military veterans images will remain in location until the week beginning 8th June 2026, they will be remove them and stored ready for installation in October for Remembrance Week by local School Students.
Sunday 10th May 14.30hrs Please join us for the dedication of a plaque which has recently been placed on the War Memorial, Market Square, Retford. If you are attending please gather by the War Memorial by 14.15hrs.
Our next branch get together will be at the Babworth Sports & Social club is on Monday 1st June at 19.30. We look forward to meeting old & new friends

Would you consider volunteering even for an hour. Our volunteers have been at the heart of the Poppy Appeal for over 105 years, helping raise funds across the country to support the Armed Forces community.
The poppy appeal runs for two weeks with the National launch on Thursday 22nd October 2026. If you can give one hour of your time please contact the Retford & District Branch by e mail address [email protected]
