2025 Poppy Appeal Result — April 2026

We are delighted to report that the 2025 Petts Wood and Chislehurst Poppy Appeal raised £30,232.17, a contribution to the national total of £54.1 million, up 5% on the previous year. Thank you to every volunteer and donor who made this possible.

Branch Meetings 2026

Branch meetings in 2026 will be held at 8pm on the following dates at Branch HQ, Queensway, Petts Wood: 12 May · 8 September · 17 November (also AGM). All members are welcome. The Branch Committee meets on the second Tuesday of each month, except August.

VE Day 80th Anniversary — May 2025

The Petts Wood Branch and Club held a Commemoration of VE Day at the Club as an 'Afternoon Tea' for those members of the community who remember the 'Street Parties' and celebrations after the cessation of WWII hostilities. The Afternoon Tea was attended by 80 members of the community from that era plus other family members and guests. We were entertained by live music from the period. The President gave a slide show of events of the period from old photos. Presentations of Certificates were given to Members for their service to the Branch. At 18:30, a minutes silence was held in line with the National Remembrance, followed by laying a Wreath and lighting of candles in the Garden of Remembrance.
