Poppy Appeal in Looe

The Looe Branch of the Royal British Legion, the residents of Looe and its many visitors have all contributed to yet another impressive fundraising Poppy Appeal total. In 2025, Looe raised a total of £11,206.93.This money contributes to the wider Royal British Legion fundraising effort. 

The 2025 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, which launched in October 2025, aimed to raise over £50 million to support veterans and their families. Early, localised results indicated strong support, including £1.47 million raised in a single day for the London Poppy Day. 

About the Poppy Appeal

The Poppy Appeal is our flagship campaign held every year in October and November.  Founded in 1921, the Appeal raises funds for the Royal British Legion’s vital work supporting serving personnel, veterans and their families throughout their lives with whatever the need, whenever it’s needed. 

Our support to those in need is made possible by the generous donations of the public and the 50,000 Poppy Appeal collectors and volunteers who dedicate their time each year to helping fundraise across the country.
