The Eastbourne Branch of The Royal British Legion is an active and established branch with a long-standing commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community, veterans, and their families within the local area.

Remembrance and Ceremonial Duties

The Branch serves as a local custodian of Remembrance in Eastbourne, coordinating and supporting key civic commemorations including Remembrance Sunday and Armistice Day. These services provide an important opportunity for the community to come together in remembrance of those who have served and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Poppy Appeal

The Branch plays a central role in the delivery of the annual Poppy Appeal in Eastbourne. Through the dedication of volunteers and supporters, funds are raised to provide lifelong support to serving personnel, veterans, and their families.

Branch Facilities and Activities

The former Royal British Legion Club in Eastbourne closed in 2005. The Branch now operates from its warehouse facility at:

This facility is used for Branch administration, meetings, and informal gatherings such as coffee mornings, helping to maintain contact and support within the local membership.

Support for Veterans and Community Engagement

The Eastbourne Branch continues to provide opportunities for veterans and members to connect, commemorate, and take part in community activity, including participation in Armed Forces Day and other commemorative events throughout the year.
