100th Oxfordshire Annual County Conference - Carterton Community Hall - 01 Feb 2025
The 100th Oxfordshire County Conference was held on 01 Feb 25 at the Carterton Community Centre. The Conference was attended by the Lord Lieutenant of Oxfordshire Mrs Marjorie Glasgow BEM, Bishop Gavin Collins Dorchester on Thames Abbey, Michelle Mead Mayor of Carterton, RBL National Vice Chair Lynda Atkins, Rebecca Warren Director of Communications for the RBL. Sir John Allison County Patron and Mrs Ann Midwinter County President with the members of the County Committee
welcome delegates from Branches across the County. The following Trophies were award:
- Colonel Le Duc Norris Cup for Branch Efficiency – Henley-on-Thames Branch
- Membership Trophy – Carterton Branch
- Novice Standard Bearer Trophy – Mr Clive Cantwell Carterton Branch
- County Standard Bearer Trophy - Mr Tjark Andrews
In addition to the Trophies each of the Standard Bearers in attendance were presented with a certificate of appreciation for the excellent service and dedication to the RBL. These were awarded to:
- John Green - Henley-on-Thames Branch
- David Mannering - Nettlebed Branch
- Clive Cantwell - Carterton Branch
- Jacqui Graves - Stanton Harcourt Branch
- Tjark Andrews - County Standard Bearer.
The Conference was a huge success and marked the end of a 5-year tenure of the County Chair by Pete Eldridge and saw the investiture of Steve Kingsford as the new Chair.
