Yeovil Cenotaph Memorial 17th March 2024

Today we had the Honour of laying a wreath in memory of Able Seaman, Douglas William Raymond Masters, D/JX365589 RN aged 19, of Yeovil Somerset who died with 17 other's when their Landing Craft HMLC I (L)273 was hit by a German bomb on the 17th March 1944 Anzio Italy.

The wreath was laid by The RBL Yeovil Branch on behalf of his Shipmate Gordon 'Pop' White, who survived the attack and Celebrates his 101st Birthday in April 2024.
