The Worthen Branch was first established in 1922 and is one of the oldest in Shropshire. 

The Branch has always met on the site of Worthen village hall that was originally constructed from WW1 ‘Kitchener Huts’ obtained from Park Hall army camp near Oswestry. This was replaced in the mid 1970s with the current village hall.
