Remembrance Sunday, the second Sunday in November, is the day traditionally put aside to remember all those who have given their lives for the peace and freedom we enjoy today.

The Panthers Cub Pack of the 1st Woodmancote Scout Group with their Poppy they made out of Copper Cpoins which they then donated to the RBL Woodmancote & District Branch !

Remembrance Parade 2016.
Was be held on
Sunday 13th of November 2016
A Short Service was held at the War Memorial. The parade left Saint Michael's Church Hall Car Park, Church Fields, Bihop's Cleeve at 10.40am and arrived at the Memorial 10.45am. The Parade returned to the Club Car Park at approx 11.45am.
This year's Parade was very well attended, especially by young people.
Poppy Ball 2016
There was no Pappy Ball this year, due to less than ideal support in 2015 for this event. However, we may hold a Poppy Ball in 2017. Watch this space!
This years Poppy ball was be held on Saturday 17th of October Starting at 8pm. at the Bishop's Cleeve football club, Kate Lane Bishops Cleeve (by kind permission of the Bishops Cleeve Football club committee).

Should any person wish to obtain a Poppy Wreath to lay at the next Remembrance Service they can contact the Poppy Appeal Organiser, Peter Wood on 01242 677930
There is not a fixed charge for the wreath, but a donation is suggested to cover at least the cost of manufacture. (£16.50 for a large wreath and £12 for a small wreath) Similarly if you wish to obtain Car/Large/Altar Poppies contact the above. The order for wreaths etc. will be sent at the beginning of August.'
