Again another most enjoyable evening for 43 members on the Annual Boat Trip sailing at 7pm on Friday 9 June 2017; the weather was also pleasant which adds to the enjoyment.

Our most grateful thanks to Windermere Lakes Cruises for providing the boat, Miss Lakeland, and crew for this event.

Thanks go to our Chairman Peter Lever and Sue for all their hard work in making the arrangements, plus all the willing helpers serving the wine and food - delicious "pie 'n peas", plus a dessert, by Mrs Seward.

A raffle was held raising a fantastic £135 and after expenses the overall profit was £88, thus £223 has been contributed towards Branch Funds.

Also a massive stick of rock was circulated, with donations at £1 a go to guess its weight (40 lbs 6oz) the resulting proceeds (£31.20) going to the Poppy Appeal and the rock to the RLI Children's Ward.
