WINDERMERE BRANCH marked the occasion of Armed Forces Day, with the Officers of the Branch being in attendance at The Elleray Hotel, Cross Street, Windermere last Saturday answering questions, give out information and advice.  The event also ran a raffle, tombola and together with public donations the total amount raised was £228.65 which will go towards branch funds.
Armed Forces Day takes place on the last Saturday of June, this year falling on the 27th June.  It's a chance to show your support for the men and women who make up the Armed Forces community, from currently serving Armed Forces, their families, veterans and cadets.

It also marked the culmination of a week of celebrations, beginning on Monday 22 June, when the public show their support and appreciation for the Armed Forces community. The public showed their support with the purchase of one of the Armed Forces service pins/badges.
