Armed Forces Day 2019 - Goodly Dale on Saturday 22nd June

Armed Forces Day 2019 was celebrated a week early in Windermere and Bowness, enjoyed by over 50 people with grateful thanks to the Roselands Trust, the Bowness and Windermere Community Care Trust and Windermere School (for the tea, sandwiches and cakes) and the Goodly Dale School for the use of their school hall.

Members of the 1264 Windermere Air Cadets also helped in setting up the venue.

The £95 raised by the raffle was generously donated to The Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal (several members of the TRBL Windermere Branch also enjoyed the event).

Becki Fishwick sang many 1940's songs putting everyone in the spirit, singing along and even dancing.
