Poppy Appeal Wreaths

If you would like to pre-order a wreath or any other official Poppy Appeal item at any time of year please contact the Whitley Bay, North Shields & District Poppy Appeal Organiser on wb.ns.poppy@gmail.com or call 07729 777270.

Please be aware that our volunteers work so you may not get an immediate reply however if you leave a message or have emailed we will respond to you as soon as we can.

If you are looking for a wreath with a specific badge and it's not one we supply regularly it will have to be specially ordered and can take a number of weeks to arrive, to avoid disappointment please do not leave it until the last minute.

Our poppy number (07729 777270) will be on and in constant use between October and January each year but as previously mentioned our volunteers work so you may not get an immediate reply. If you leave a message or have emailed we will respond to you as soon as we can.

For the remainder of the year the answer phone is checked every few weeks so email would be a better option for contacting us.

We rely on the help of a small but dedicated band of volunteers to run the Poppy Appeal each year. If you'd like to assist with the Poppy Appeal 2025 (even if you only have an hour here and there), please email one of our Poppy Appeal Organisers at wb.ns.poppy@gmail.com

Update on the Poppy Appeal 2024

Our 2024 local Branch Poppy Appeal has achieved a total of over £80,000 so far - an excellent result!

We wish to thank everyone in the local community who has supported the Poppy Appeal in 2024 as well as those who have helped with the collections and those who have given donations.

Many thanks must go to our seven affiliated youth organisations (cadets and scouts) who assisted our team of collectors along with the managers of the local supermarkets who hosted our collecting points - Morrisons (North Shields, Hillheads), Sainsburys (West Monkseaton, Northumberland Park) and Tesco (North Shields).

Thanks also to the many smaller organisations, shops and schools who supported the Appeal and of course, the general public who gave such generous contributions.
